beckystark06 as it was her prompt. Even though it was a long, long time ago, lol. If anyone else wants to prompt me, please go here to do so. I'd really appreciate it too, coz I want to write but have no real inspiration! >.<

"We shouldn't keep doing that," Tom said as he and Danny ran offstage, sweaty but happy with their performance.
"Why not?" Danny asked, grabbing a bottle of Carlsberg from fridge and popping the lid off it. He lifted the bottle to his lips, taking a long drink, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down as he swallowed.
"Because she's going to click," Tom replied, looking pained at the thought.
"She won't," Danny insisted, shaking his head as he swallowed again. "We've always done this."
"No," Tom started. "You've always done this. I've never reciprocated before."
"She won't find out Tommie," Danny said in a softer voice as he moved towards the blonde. "We're being careful."
"You think you are," Harry chimed in from the doorway, where he stood with Dougie. "It's starting to look like you two are more than friends, you know," he added, coming in to take a seat. Dougie followed, as he usually did, and plopped himself onto Harry's lap.
"But we're not," Tom said quickly, glancing at Danny sideways. If Harry had noticed, then did it mean that everyone else had too.
"I know, but that's not what it looks like," Harry said, getting himself a bottle as well as handing one to Dougie.
Tom frowned. "It's just for show," he muttered, picking up a towel and rubbing it over his face, ridding himself of the salty droplets of sweat that had been in danger of running into his eye.
"Which is why we don't need to be worried," Danny said firmly, looking at Tom again. "Whatever Gio thinks, we know the truth."
Tom looked back at Danny. Yeah, but the truth is, she's right, he thought. Then he sighed and nodded. "I know."
Danny threw an arm around Tom's shoulders. "It's okay, if she asks, we can put her straight. You and me are just friends," he said, giving the blonde a small wink and a smile.
"Okay," Tom replied softly, unable to stop himself from smiling back. That was his trouble. He could never say no to Danny, no matter what the brunette was asking of him. The day that Danny had first kissed him, Tom had been thrown into emotional turmoil. He loved Gio, he really did. But there was something about Danny that he couldn't get enough of. That was why, for the last couple of years, he and Danny had been seeing each other in secret. Spending long nights 'at the studio'. It had been made easier since Danny had moved out of the flat underneath Dougie's and now lived a bit further away, because it meant that they could go there without a great risk of Gio spotting them.
Harry rolled his eyes and looked at Dougie. "Come on, let's get out to the bus so we can get home," he said, prodding the bassist in the side until he got up. "We'll see you two out there," he threw over his shoulder as he and Dougie left the room again, leaving Tom and Danny alone.
"Yeah, alright," Tom answered distractedly. He was looking at Danny again, recognising the glint in the blue eyes looking back at him. Within seconds, the distance between them had been closed and they were kissing, softly at first, then a bit more urgently. Tom knew they didn't have much time. Normally Gio was waiting backstage for them, but this time he'd seen her still dancing away as their set ended.
Danny reluctantly pulled back after few minutes, looking into Tom's eyes again. "Relax," he whispered. "She's not here yet."
"I know, but she will be soon. This is wrong, Dan," Tom replied, sighing. "It's always been wrong, but... I don't want it to end. Not yet."
"It doesn't have to," Danny replied. "We've managed so far. We can carry on. She'll never know."
"I hope you're right," Tom said, not sounding too sure.
"I will be," Danny said firmly, pulling Tom in for one last, lingering kiss. He pulled away again just as he heard footsteps coming towards the room. He smiled at Tom as he lifted his bottle to his lips again, giving the blonde another wink as Gio came in, a big smile on her face.
"You were brilliant!" she said, giving Tom a big hug, not caring that he was still all sweaty.
"Thanks, babe," Tom replied, managing to give Gio a genuine smile. He caught Danny's eye over her shoulder as he hugged her and gave the brunette a smile. They'd got away with it. Again.
